Formatters & validators
Beautify and validate JSON, XML, CSS, HTML, and SQL — multiple dialects, lenient JSON5 mode, accurate error reporting with line/column positions.
Encoders & decoders
Base64, URL percent-encoding, HTML entities, JWT (decode + sign), hex, and binary — all UTF-8 safe.
Generators
UUIDs, strong passwords, cryptographic hashes (MD5/SHA-1/SHA-256/SHA-512), QR codes, favicons, JWTs, and lorem ipsum.
Converters
JSON ↔ YAML / XML / CSV / TSV. JSON to TypeScript types. Color converter (hex/RGB/HSL). Timestamp converter.

Why this exists
Developers Google the same things over and over — "format JSON", "decode JWT", "regex anchors", "vim quit", "HTTP 422 vs 400". Each query opens a different ad-loaded site, each with a different layout, each gating something behind a signup. ProperScript is the focused alternative: one place, clean tools, no nag screens.
How it works
Every tool runs in your browser using standard Web APIs (TextEncoder, Web Crypto, DOMParser) and small, well-tested libraries. There's no upload step in the architecture — your input stays on your device. Open DevTools on any tool page and you'll see no input ever travels to a server.

No account, no input size limits beyond what your browser can handle, no daily quotas, no "premium" upsell on every tool. Ads — clearly marked, kept tasteful — pay for the site so we don't have to gate features behind a subscription. A Pro tier may come later for users who'd rather support the site without ads.
What we don't do
File conversion (image / PDF / DOCX / spreadsheet), audio/video editing, calculators, and anything needing a server. Those are different audiences with different needs — there are good sites for each. ProperScript stays narrow on purpose: tools that fit cleanly into a developer's workflow and run reliably client-side.
